ADVERTISEMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY HEALTH ADMISSION FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Community Health for 2025/2026 academic session at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife.

The Training Programme which will last for either one or two Calendar years will commence in September, 2025, leading to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. West African School Certificate/GCE “O” Level, or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) or NABTEB with Five Credits level passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

    1. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ONE (1) CALENDAR YEAR PROGRAMME

      2. In addition to qualifications in (a) above, candidates must possess the following Professional qualifications and experience for eligibility to apply:

      1. Must have qualified as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).
      2. Possess First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health or HND in Community Health.
      3. Applicant must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practicing license.
    2. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR TWO (2) CALENDAR YEARS PROGRAMME

      3. In addition to qualifications in (a) above, candidates must possess any of the following Professional qualifications and experience for eligibility to apply:

      1. Diploma in Community Health.
      2. Community Health Extension Workers Certificate (CHEW) with Five (5) years’ experience
      3. Applicant must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practicing license.
  2. WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL INTERVIEW

    Selection for admission will be based on candidates’ performance at a Competitive Written test and Oral interview to be conducted on Monday, 21th and Tuesday, 22nd July, 2025 respectively.

    CANDIDATES ARE TO BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AND PRACTISING LICENSES TO THE EXAMINATION CENTRE. AND PRINT TWO COPIES OF THE APPLICATION SLIP.

    2. Select CHEW and BSc or HND for one year programme and CHEW for two years programme.
